Kate Middleton was laughing and smiling with her husband Prince William today as she made her final public appearance before the birth of their first child.
Wearing a pale pink Alexander McQueen coat and hat, the Duchess of Cambridge, who’s eight months pregnant, smiled and waved to the crowds as she made her way to Buckingham Palace for the Trooping of the Color parade celebrating the Queen’s birthday.

The weather was cold, so the mom-to-be had a blue tartan blanket draped across her lap as she sat alongside her mother-in-law, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and brother-in-law Prince Harry in an open carriage, while Prince William rode in the parade on horseback.
When the royal family gathered on the palace balcony to greet the waiting crowd and watch the military planes fly-by, Kate was in good spirits, laughing alongside her husband as Prince Harry shared a joke with them.

Kate’s appearance is her last official duty as she prepares for the arrival of her baby next month. She will be spending the first six weeks after the baby is born at her parents house and has cleared her schedule for the rest of the year in order to spend time with her new baby, while Prince William is only getting two weeks paternity leave from his job as a search and rescue helicopter pilot.
