Unlike most marriages from Bravo's Real Housewives franchises, newest member of Orange County, Shannon Beador, found her marriage to husband David is better than ever all because she decided to join the cast — and it took the cameras for Shannon to realize her flaws and fix them.
"Throughout the filming process, I did notice that I was nagging a lot," Beador tells Life & Style exclusively. "I started to realize that all I did was nag and complain that he didn't spend time with me because that's all I knew and in effect I was pushing him away.”
Things got so rough for the couple that David sent an email to his wife while the cameras were rolling insinuating that he should move out, but what wasn't shown on television.
"I was in my dressing room and I was reading the email and I was on the phone with Tamra. It was off camera. Tamra and I talked about how we were not going to bring the email up. I didn't want to hurt my kids! She made sure everybody knew about the email!" Shannon said.
After David hit send, he had a quick change of heart; infuriating Shannon even more that Tamra would do such a thing.
"My husband came home the next day and said, ‘I never should've sent you that email,’” she recalls. “It was just an email saying, ‘I was frustrated, we've been arguing, and maybe I should move out.’”
Viewers will have to tune in to the rest of the season on Bravo to see how the friendship between Tamra, who Shannon calls, "Just a blip in my life,” plays out.
For now, Shannon admits she and David are happier than ever! "Our relationship right now is stronger than it was the day we got married!"
