John Legend Recalls the First Time He Met Chrissy Teigen: ‘We Had Instant Chemistry’
Meant to be! John Legend gushed that he and Chrissy Teigen hit it off right away when they first met back in 2006. The duo tied the knot in September 2013 and have been going strong ever since. The A-listers first crossed paths when the former model played the singer’s love interest in his “Stereo” music video.
“It was at least lust at first sight for both of us and then, you know, obviously it developed in that day and that moment,” the 40-year-old divulged about the cookbook author, 33, to Access Live on Monday, June 10. “We had instant chemistry that day and then we started dating not long after that and here we are, married with two kids.”
Their spark must’ve been strong because the Lip Sync Battle host admitted to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that they “closed the deal on the first night.” She explained, “We were on a video set all day together and I went to one of his shows and … yeah.”
It obviously all worked out because the duo now share two adorable kiddos — Luna, 3, and Miles, 12 months. It turns out, the apples didn’t fall far from the tree. The EGOT winner confessed that their oldest has already started taking after her famous mama.
“She really is [funny]. She’s got a lot of Chrissy’s personality,” The Voice coach told ET about the spunky tot. “She even knows she’s funny already. She plays for laughs sometimes, which is hilarious.”
The proud dad continued to explain that his sweet girl loves putting on a performance. “She does all kinds of funny things, just telling stories and she’s in that phase where she’s role-playing everything and she has Godzilla toys and girly dolls and everything in between … She’s acting out scenes all the time. She’s very entertaining.” Fans love seeing her bold personality on social media and we’ll keep our fingers crossed for more Luna content.
