Current Bachelorette Becca Kufrin had three tattoos when she was cast in The Bachelor as one of Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s contestants, but these days she has four. And since each tat seems to carry a lot of significance for the 28-year-old, fans are wondering if her ex-fiancé might have been the inspiration for that fourth design.

Going into The Bachelor Season 22, Becca said she had three tattoos. But by the finale, when Arie arrived at Becca’s house to break up with her, he made small talk with her by commenting on her fourth tattoo. The design, located on her left wrist, seems to show a bumblebee, and PopSugar wonders if it was inspired by Arie. (Perhaps, the site speculates, “bumblebee” is a nickname Becca had for her would-be husband.)

On the other hand (literally), Becca has a tattoo of a cross under her pinky finger and a tattoo of the words “Psalms 61:2” on her forearm just under her wrist. In case you were wondering, the King James Version of that Biblical verse reads, “From the end of the earth I will cry unto thee / When my heart is overwhelmed / Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

And on her right foot, Becca is tattooed with the initials “SKK” and an image of a heart, a reference to her late father, Steven Karl Kufrin. When Becca was 14, Steven was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer, and he died five years later. Posthumously, Steven has a different sort of “duck dynasty”: The US Fish And Wildlife Service dedicated a 739-acre waterfowl production area in his name in 2005, as he was a conservationist of duck habitats.

And Becca remembers her dad fondly. “Not a day goes by that I don’t think about the angel that is Steven Karl (with a K) Kufrin,” she wrote on Instagram for Father’s Day last year. “He gets the Father-of-a-Lifetime award for putting up with me between the ages of 3-17.”

Here’s hoping Becca’s bumblebee tattoo is a reference to another family member — or anything else that isn’t named Arie. She doesn’t need any more reminders of that heartbreak!
