Cardi B Says Men Have Been Sliding Into Her DMs Following Split From Offset — But She’s Not Interested
She’s single but definitely not ready to mingle! Cardi B split with her baby daddy, Offset, in December 2018, and it looks like men are jumping at the chance to take the rapper out on a date. Many suitors have been sliding into her DMs, however, the brunette beauty is not interested, she recently revealed in a new interview.
“It’s like, ‘Bro, why would you want to holler at me right away? You’re weird,’” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “If you think Imma automatically hop onto you after a marriage, that just means you think I’m a sleaze. And I’m not. I have a kid — I have to show an example.”
The Bronx native, 26, is also not sure if she is looking for a man that is as well-known as she is. “You know, if I date somebody in the industry, that’s another person in the industry. If I date somebody who is not in the industry, he might not understand my lifestyle,” she said. “So, I can’t just sleep with anybody. People talk,” she said
The “I Like It Like That” crooner knows that she sometimes might give off the wrong vibes to men with the way that she speaks. “Just because I’m out there and very sexual doesn’t mean that I have to be whorish,” she revealed. “I like to have sex. That doesn’t mean I have to have it with everybody. Not that I judge women who want to have sex with the world.” LOL, we love Cardi’s honesty.
To recap, after about a year together, Cardi revealed that she and Offset, 27, had been having marriage trouble for a while, which ultimately led to their breakup. “We’re really good friends and you know, we’re really good business partners and, you know, he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to, and we’ve got a love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time and it’s nobody’s fault,” she said in a since-deleted Instagram video.
Cardi explained to the outlet that she “decided on my own” to split from her former husband. “Nobody makes my decisions about my life but me,” she said. The rapper tried to save his relationship by suggesting that the two go to marriage counseling, but the Grammy nominee wasn’t into the idea. “He suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind.”
Even though the former duo has been spotted together recently, it doesn’t look like a reconciliation is happening any time soon. For now, we’ll just be over here hoping that Cardi’s Prince Charming arrives ASAP.
