Cardi B Rants About How Expensive It Is ‘To Maintain Us Women,’ Spends $1,200 On Her Hair And Nails Anyway
Oh, Cardi B, we hope you never change. The “I Like It” rapper recently took to Instagram, where she decided to address a *very important* issue with her 36.5 million followers. Global warming? No. Civil unrest? No. How much it costs to maintain her beauty routine? Ding, ding, ding.
In a video post captioned, “We getting more expensive, boo boo,” Cardi began: “Lemme tell y’all motherf—–s something. It’s getting more and more expensive — nah, for real — it’s getting more expensive to maintain us, women.” Preach, mama!
“You know, this is not the early 2000s and s–t where you give a b—h $100 to get her motherf—–g hair done, nails done, her eyebrows done, whatever. Nah. Let me tell you something — like, b—–s is not getting the $17 full set with three free nail designs, motherf—-r,” Cardi continued. Oh, and to be clear, the 25-year-old gets gels WITH Swarovski crystals.
“So that about there is like about $200, feet and nails. You know what I’m saying?” Not really, Cardi… but let’s just go ahead and pretend that we do know what you’re saying. Moving onto to her hair or, er, actually someone else’s hair (technically speaking).
“We’re not in the era where b—–s do the blowouts, you know what I’m saying, or the sew-ins and s–t. No, a b—h want the whole full-lace wig. The wig is about $800, $500, it really depends where you get it from,” Cardi explains. The newly minted mama then goes on to reveal that styling her ‘do can cost between $200 and $300. “So just on that is $1,000. So what’s good?” Cardi concluded.
Woof. That was a wild ride. Are you tired? We are. One could argue that Cardi doesn’t actually have to spend that kind of dough on her beauty routine. However, we get it… she’s a celebrity, there’s a lot of pressure to look flawless all the time. As for the average lady? Well, don’t be ashamed of your $30 gel manicure that you inevitably bite off after three days.
