Support from Bachelor Nation! Former Bachelorette contestant Chad Johnson exclusively divulged to Life & Style that he thinks Peter Weber will do “well” as the newest leading man on The Bachelor. The stud confessed that the drama between contestants is usually what makes the seasons so addicting, and the pilot is a great fit to handle all the ups and downs.

“I mean, The Bachelor is typically never about the Bachelor. His job is basically don’t screw it up,” the 32-year-old quipped during the Make A Wish Greater Los Angeles WISH Gala on November 20. “I don’t think he’s going to screw anything up, you know? So he’ll do his job well, which is show up and don’t be ugly.”

However, Chad admitted that he doesn’t know much about the 28-year-old, and the first trailer for the season — which was dripping in innuendo from his time with Hannah Brown — didn’t help much either. “I saw it online, I saw the picture, but it’s basically just he had sex, right?” Chad said about the teasers. “Like, ‘I had sex with a girl four times. That’s all you need to know about me! And, I fly planes.’ I thought it was a little weird. They didn’t really tell us anything about him … People ask me about him, like, ‘What do you think?’ I mean, he seems like a nice guy? I guess?”

The new season will bring all sorts of surprises to Chad — and viewers at home. The Ex on the Beach star has tried his luck at romance on multiple reality shows, but he recently found love off-screen with girlfriend Annalise Mishler. The MTV star and YouTuber have been “on-and-off for five months,” but have been “serious for three [months].”

When asked if he was “committed” to the blonde beauty, Chad had a very definite answer. “Yeah, 100 percent. I started unfollowing all the 8,000 girls I’d followed on Instagram, so that’s a big move right there,” he revealed.

Although the two seem to be having fun, the Oklahoma native noted that marriage and kids are a bit far off still. “I want to travel the world first,” he explained about settling down one day. “I think you’ve got to get that out of your system. Because I don’t want to have a kid and be locked down and be like, ‘Well, I kind of want to leave for six months, but we’ve got the kid.’ But yeah. Eventually, for sure. I’ll have a really nice kid. I’m sure he will be just like his father!”

One thing is for sure: We can always count on Chad to be totally transparent!
