Back in 2015, fans wondered if Demi’s hit, “Cool for the Summer,” was an ode to her sexuality with lyrics like, “Don’t be scared cause I’m your body type/ Just something that we wanna try.” However, she never confirmed anything. In an interview with comedian Alan Carr at the time, Demi said her songs were based on personal experiences, causing fans to wonder if she’s ever experimented with another female. She told Alan, “I’m not confirming, and I’m definitely not denying.” She added, “All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with experimentation at all.” Alan, who is gay, joked that he experimented once, and never stopped. Demi continued, “Hey, I didn’t say that it didn’t stick either! I didn’t say that it didn’t stick.”
The photos come after her ex Wilmer attended her 25th birthday party. On Aug. 20, fans could hardly contain their excitement when eagle-eyed followers spotted the That ’70s Show alum posing next to Demi in the photo booth. One Twitter user wrote, “I want nothing more in life than for Demi Lovato to get back together with Wilmer. I don’t wanna live in a world without them making babies.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like that will be happening anytime soon!
