Gigi Hadid’s Detachable Booty Short Jeans Will Make You Second-Guess “Fashion”

Spring weather can sometimes be unpredictable, but Gigi Hadid officially cracked the code when she stepped out wearing pants and shorts at the same time!

We know… it sounds (and looks) bizarre, but one of the perks of being a model means you can wear pretty much whatever you want and get away with it — even weird, cut-off, insanely expensive, transitional jorts.

The pants, which were thought up by the brand Y/Project and were sold by Opening Ceremony, caused a major stir online — costing a hefty $425. But if you want a pair of your own, you’re out of luck because the company no longer carries the detachable denim, though a similar pair can be purchased for $460.

While these pants have warranted different responses from fans, we can’t say we’re surprised by her risky street style. The 22-year-old has opened up about her fashion choices in the past and wants to be a divisive force in the fashion industry.

“I try to go for more like people are either going to love or hate it,” she told People magazine of her red carpet looks. “I don’t want anyone to feel neutral about what you wear.”

And though she admits her style is bold, she also revealed that she still gets nervous when picking out a particularly unique look.

“I think being a little bit nervous about an outfit isn’t that bad,” she said. “Something that were to make me very excited to see on the rack doesn’t mean that I’m right away comfortable when I put it on. But I think that the excitement kind of inspires you and they kind of work together.”

Must be nice to be a model, huh?
