Jennifer Hudson Brought Down the House With Her Stunning Performance of ‘I’ll Fight’

On Monday, February 18, The Academy announced that Jennifer Hudson would be singing “I’ll Fight” from the Oscar-nominated documentary RBG at the 91st Academy Awards. While we had no doubt that the former American Idol finalist, 37, would absolutely slay her performance at the Oscars, nothing could have prepared us for just how amazing she was.

Of course, audiences immediately flocked to social media to show their love and praise for the legendary songstress.“OMG is Jennifer Hudson wearing a dress, trousers and a suit?! I don’t care, I LOVE IT and she is NAILING this performance,” one user wrote on Twitter.

“Jennifer Hudson giving this absolutely gorgeous suit with the jacket turning into a huge train in her performance of ‘I’ll Fight.’ And this performance, once again showing her vocal prowess,” added another.

Unsurprisingly, this isn’t Jennifer’s first time on the Oscars stage. In fact, back in 2007, the brunette beauty won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Effie White in Dreamgirls. Additionally, she brought down the house at the 85th Academy Awards during her performance of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” in 2013.

Unfortunately, fans haven’t been blessed with new music from J. Hud in quite some time. However, if you’re looking to soak up some more of her awesomeness, she’s currently a coach on The Voice U.K.

Thanks for reminding us why you’re a star, Jennifer! Here’s hoping those powerful pipes give us some fresh tunes sometime in 2019.
