Kim Kardashian Reveals The Outfit She Was Wearing When She Met Kanye West And It’s *So* 2007
Oh, 2007, what a time to be alive! On Jan. 9, Kim Kardashian revealed to a fan on Twitter the very ensemble she wore when meeting her now-husband, Kanye West, and let’s just say… it was very fitting of the year. It all started when a fan tweeted a picture of the KUWTK star, 38, wearing a pink Juicy Couture velour tracksuit while carrying a Louis Vuitton multicolor purse. “I’d love to see Kim bring back Juicy Couture sweatsuits and that LV multicolor bag,” the fan wrote.
Shortly thereafter, Kim replied with the sweetest story ever: “Fun fact: In this pic, I was on my way to meet Kanye for his ‘Good Life’ performance for the MTV [VMA] awards. I didn’t really know him, but his people called my people lol. I was a girl in the audience at the live performance in Vegas. I met his mom, Donda, the same night.” Kim quickly followed up with: “P.S. I still have this sweatsuit and this bag.”
How cute is that? Not many people can say that they still have the outfit they were wearing when they met the love of their life — especially because the chances of that outfit being hideous are pretty high. No offense, Kim, but please don’t break that out of the vault anytime soon.
Anyway, fans we’re totally living for the mother-of-three’s walk down memory lane. “Aw, thanks for sharing! I love hearing KimYe stories,” one user commented. “This is not a fun fact, this is an ICONIC fact,” added another. One even echoed: “We love US history!” US history, indeed! We hope some day in the near future that schools stop teaching about the industrial revolution and start teaching definitive timelines of celebrity relationships.
We can’t wait for another 12 years of cutesy KimYe stories. Without the bad taste in clothes, of course. Kanye made sure his queen rocked only the best the second they started dating. Good call, Mr. West, she needed the pointers.
