Kim Kardashian Reveals She’s Saving One Special Dress For Daughters North And Chicago West
Like several parents do, Kim Kardashian is planning on passing down stuff to her kids, specifically clothes. The mom-of-three said she will give her stunning gold metallic 2018 Met Gala dress to her daughters, North West, 5, and Chicago West, 11 months.
According to a tweet, Kim has no doubt she’ll be sharing the one-of-a-kind gown with her baby girls someday. On Sunday, Dec. 9, a fan asked Kim, “Are you saving this dress for North or Chi!?? @KimKardashian,” to which the beauty mogul quote tweeted and replied, “Absolutely!!!” The reality star sported the gorgeous Versace number with two crosses detailing for this year’s Met Gala, which was Catholic themed.
By the time Northie and Chi are old enough to wear it, the gown will probably be considered vintage, hopefully adding more to why they should rock it! It’s a good thing North is four years older than her little sis, so there won’t be fighting over who gets to wear it first. Though when they reach a certain age, they may take after their mama and aunts who fight over clothes on the regular.
This tradition isn’t super rare for the Kardashian family. Back in 2009 when Khloé Kardashian was planning her wedding with now ex-husband Lamar Odom, Kris Jenner revealed she had been saving her wedding dress from her first marriage to Robert Kardashian Sr. for her daughters to wear someday. To Kris’ disappointment, Koko was not feeling the dress at all and even made a not so nice comment about it.
“This is so ugly, I would die,” Khloé said about the white gown at the time. Obviously, Kris became upset, but then Kim came to the rescue and tried it on and it on to make her mama happy. Kris’ first wedding gown may not be considered the trendiest nowadays, but we’re sure it was at some point — she’s always had amazing taste.
Since fashion is always changing, hopefully in the future North and Chi won’t react to the Met Gala gown the same way Khlo did to her mom’s wedding dress!
