This is just about as official as it gets! Actor Liam Hemsworth recently revealed that his new wife, Miley Cyrus, took his last name after their marriage. So damn cute, y’all.

“Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually,” the 29-year-old called his 26-year-old wife during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan on February 8.

“She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great,” he explained. “That was honestly one of the best things about it. I didn’t ask her to take my name, but she was like, ‘No, of course I’m taking your name.'”

Even though the ‘Malibu’ singer was ready to take on the new title, her Aussie hubby admitted the whole “wife” and “husband” thing took some getting used to. “It’s become a little more normal, but the first couple of weeks it was … I mean, it’s only been a month and a half,” he said. “But the first couple of weeks was really foreign to me, with ‘wife’ and ‘husband.'”

Liam and Miley revealed their marriage on December 26 in a sweet Instagram post. The wedding was a bit of a secret, as the couple posted their announcement after the nuptials took place. According to Liam, something small and quiet was actually just what they wanted.

“We never wanted to do anything too extravagant or big,” he admitted. “We find the whole thing kind of embarrassing. We know how we feel about each other. We just wanted something simple and organic with immediate family.”

The incredible couple tied the knot almost exactly ten years after they met on the set of the romance film The Last Songso we can only imagine how they must have felt as their relationship came full circle. Plus, taking Liam’s last name is the icing on the cake of such a clearly loving marriage.

Congrats again, you two! Mr and Mrs. Hemsworth, indeed.
