The royal family are experts at keeping secrets — especially when it comes to personal matters. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have apparently known the sex of their baby for a while, and so have their closest friends, according to Us Weekly. It looks like they’ll be welcoming a boy in the spring!

Since the couple announced their pregnancy in October 2018, royal fans have been quick to point out any subtle clues they have found about the sex. For starters, when one well-wisher spoke to Harry during his stay in Australia, speculation about the baby’s gender began. “I hope it’s a girl,” said a fan. “So do I,” replied the father-to-be, 34.

Though it was probably too early to know whether the baby would be a boy or a girl at the time, several people thought his response meant it could be a girl. However, ever since the former actress, 37, celebrated her baby showers in New York City, many fans have changed their minds.

According to the outlet, during the February 20 event at the Mark Hotel, Meghan confessed to her closest friends that she’s having a boy. A mini Harry! How adorable. Other hints that point toward this being a possibility have to do with one of the shower’s attendees. Abigail Spencer was spotted with two separate gifts, both wrapped in blue.

The parents-to-be will most likely not announce their baby’s gender to the public until the Suits alum gives birth. With the royal baby expected to arrive sometime in late April or early May, fans won’t have to wait that long. In the meantime, Meghan and Harry are doing everything in their power to prep for their bundle of joy’s arrival.

“Meghan is focused on calm and positive energy around the birth — she’s a big believer in that,” a source previously told the outlet about the 37-year-old’s decision to have a birthing assistant. Harry is “doing everything he can to make sure Meghan’s comfortable and happy,” added the insider. What a good hubby!
