The next royal baby will be here before we know it and the preparations have already begun! Life & Style exclusively learned that Meghan Markle is throwing Kate Middleton an extravagant surprise baby shower — along with the help of her sister, Pippa Middleton — before the little ones arrive in late April.
The source said that it will be a super intimate gathering with just 10 of Kate's close friends and her mom, Carole, on the guest list. Even though it won't be a huge affair, that doesn't mean it will lack in the gift department. "[Meghan] is spending a fortune on gifts," the insider shared. "She's getting everything from Tiffany jewelry to Dior baby clothes."
As for Pippa's role in the planning, she's taking care of the food and drinks! "[She] is hiring a top chef to whip up a five-course lunch and cute cupcakes," the source said. And of course, champagne will be flowing for guests who aren't expecting — the source mentioned that Kate will stick to tea. Aside from the food, the drinks, and the gifts, Pippa and Meghan are putting their heads together to "come up with a list of fun baby shower games."
With the babies' due date fast approaching, Kate is getting ready to expand her family. However, it hasn't been an easy road for the past nine months. As we previously reported, Kate suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum at the beginning of her pregnancy and was "sometimes bedridden for days."
Lately, she's been all smiles, though. Kate, Meghan, Prince William and Prince Harry attended the First Annual Royal Forum together at the end of February where they talked about women empowerment, the #Time'sUp movement, and making a difference together.
