Meghan Markle Shyly Reveals Her Guilty Pleasure Is ‘RHOBH’ in a Resurfaced Clip
If you’re a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills superfan, you’re in good company. It turns out Meghan Markle loves the Bravo TV series, according to an interview she did with UKTV in February 2016.
When asked what her guilty pleasure is, the now-37-year-old confessed that it’s the RHOBH. The duchess also made other interesting revelations during the rapid fire questions, including who, dead or alive, would she love to grab a drink with. “Anthony Bourdain,” she answered at the time. “If I was with Anthony Bourdain, I would drink a Negroni because I would feel cooler.”
By the looks of it, the former Suits star never imagined her life would turn out the way it did. In the interview, she gushed about having the opportunity to be an actress. When asked, “If your teenage self could see you now, what would she be most impressed by?” At first, Meg joked and commented on her look. “The fact that my hair is straight,” she said laughing. “I think she’d be really impressed that I’m an actress on a successful show. It’s crazy.”
We bet her answer would be different if she was asked the same question now. The interview was published about five months before Meghan met her current husband, Prince Harry. The two met on a blind date in July 2016, which was arranged by a mutual friend. At the time, neither of them really knew of each other.
“Because I’m from the States, you don’t grow up with the same understanding of the royal family,” she explained during a BBC interview from November 2017. “I didn’t know much about him, so the only thing that I had asked [our mutual friend] when she said that she wanted to set us up, was, ‘Well is he nice?’ Cause if he wasn’t kind, it just didn’t seem like it would make sense.” Fortunately, the two were a match made in heaven.
Now, Meghan is a duchess, wife, mom and the list goes on!
