Miley Cyrus Transformed Herself Into Hannah Montana and the Nostalgia Is *Too Real* Right Now
Alexa, play “See You Again.” On Thursday, March 28, Miley Cyrus took to her Instagram Story to share the most important celebrity transformation of all time. The “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” singer, 26, turned herself into … wait for it, Hannah Montana!
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, after retiring her Disney Channel alter ego in 2011, Miley decided it was time to bring everyone’s favorite fictional pop star back to life. While the blonde beauty made no mention of an actual Hannah Montana reboot, she did completely make over her hair to look like the tween songstress — bangs and all.
As it stands, the internet is still unsure whether Miley actually dyed and cut her hair or if it’s a wig. The Grammy nominee responded “No! All me,” to claims that the ‘do is extensions, but still … Miley is known for being a bit of a prankster. Either way, fans of the actress are P-U-M-P-E-D. “Miley Cyrus brought back Hannah Montana on her IG story. I’m screaming,” one user wrote. “Miley Cyrus is a f–king legend for bringing back Hannah Montana. OMG!” added another.
As much as we love Miley’s old school look, we hardly think that she would bring it back for no reason. There’s got to be something else going on, right?! Oh, and we can’t forget that a mysterious Instagram account for Hannah Montana surfaced earlier this month. Who does the account follow, you ask? Miley Cyrus … and Miley Cyrus only.
Considering 2019 is the year of the throwback — the Jonas Brothers released new music, Kimora Lee Simmons is bringing Baby Phat back and Drake and Josh are reuniting — we wouldn’t be surprised to see Miley follow in suit. After all, she loves reliving her glory days.
To be fair, her glory days are still happening. Even so, we wouldn’t mind being transported back to the simpler times of 2006. P.S. If a reboot does happen, please have your hunky husband make an appearance.
