It’s a Boy! Nikki Bella Reveals Sex of Baby No. 1 With Artem Chigvintsev on ‘Total Bellas’
Surprise! Pregnant Nikki Bella announced the sex of baby No. 1 during the Thursday, June 11, episode of Total Bellas, revealing she is expecting a bouncing baby boy with fiancé Artem Chigvintsev!
The WWE star broke open a piñata for her gender reveal and out came tons of blue confetti. “I’m so excited that Nicole and Artem are having a boy,” her sister, Brie Bella, said in a confessional. “I knew…I really, in my heart, I just felt it for her.”
As the episode aired, Nikki also took to Instagram with a photo from the special event along with a heartfelt statement. “Can’t wait for our little boy to arrive in August!” she gushed.
Some fans were expecting a joint gender reveal because Brie is expecting baby No. 2 with husband Bryan Danielson, but they decided to keep it a surprise. The married couple already share 3-year-old daughter Birdie, whom they welcomed in May 2017.
Neither of the sisters planned their pregnancies, so fans weren’t the only ones surprised to learn they were expecting at the same time. “We are shocked like all of you!!!” Brie wrote on Instagram when she announced the exciting news in January. “Never in a million years thought did I think @thenikkibella and I would be having pregnant bellies together!!! Knowing us, our babies will come the same day, too LOL!! We are excited for you all to follow us on this amazing journey!!! Love you, sister!!”
Though being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic is stressful, it’s made the twins more appreciative. “This has just felt like such a special time, and so I feel like it’s definitely brought us together,” Brie exclusively told Life & Style in March. “With the outbreak of the virus, it really does put a lot in perspective of just everything you’re grateful for — family, friends — and so it’s definitely been a time where we really leaned on each other.”
Being twins, this journey has definitely brought out even more similarities. “It has been really bizarre to experience all the same symptoms together,” revealed. “We have the exact same cravings!”
If that’s still the case, then the former wrestlers are craving sweet treats as they near the end of their pregnancies. Nikki admitted she’s “dreaming about desserts” in her Instagram Story on Sunday, May 31. “I want ice cream and I want cookies and I want brownies,” she added.
Fortunately, Nikki and Brie aren’t so concerned about their changing bodies. However, Nikki admitted it was a struggle for her, at first. Since this is Brie’s second pregnancy, she’s been giving Nikki advice, which includes “letting go of vanity.”
It won’t be long until Nikki and Brie’s babies will arrive. Both sisters are due in the summer, just less than two weeks apart. How exciting!
