The most unlikely model of the year is definitely Pete Davidson. The SNL star made his runway debut with Alexander Wang on May 31 during the resort fashion show in Rockefeller Center, NYC — and though modeling isn’t his original calling, the 25-year-old just might change a few opinions when it comes to the versatility of his work. Not everyone gets to walk right by Anna Wintour at their first runway show! The actor was dressed in a pretty Pete-esque look: two-toned jeans, black sneakers, tank top and a backwards baseball cap.

According to eyewitnesses who spoke with Us Weekly about the show, Pete wasn’t exactly confident in his modeling abilities during his first trip down the runway.

“When Pete first came around the corner, he walked into the model coming off the catwalk. He apologized after a little left, right, ‘Which way are you going?’ weaving past her,” an onlooker told the outlet.

“Pete looked awkward and kept opening his mouth and closing it,” the eyewitness continued. “When he walked off the stage, he gave a sigh of relief, like a ‘welp, glad that’s over’ kind of face.” Happens to the best of us, kid!

But apparently the comic came back in full force for his second trip down the runway — and the confidence was running high this time.

“When Pete came out for the finale, he looked more confident and had a more true model walk,” the insider revealed. “He looked like he had found his footing and was giving his best ‘Blue Steel’ look at the camera.” Of course he was, the funny guy he is.

Models Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber also walked the stage with Pete — two hugely famous models — so it just goes to show that he was chosen for a reason.

This is the most we’ve seen of Pete lately, especially since the funny man purged his Instagram account yet again in late May after a four-month hiatus from the social media platform.

Pete got rid of several tens of photos documenting his recent standup shows by his staff photographer Marcus Russell Price and we were totally sad to see them go. But maybe he’ll start anew with a pic from the runway!
