The royal wedding is finally here! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot on May 19 and we couldn't be happier for the royal couple. The two exchanged their first official kiss outside of St. George's Church at Windsor Castle right on the staircase, and it was a picture-perfect moment. But how did the epic smooch compare to Kate Middleton and Prince William's? These photos of the royal couples kissing make it clear that there are some major differences.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's wedding day kiss:
First of all, Prince William and Kate Middleton's big moment took place on the balcony at Buckingham Palace, which is typical for most royal couples. However, Meghan and Harry chose to have their wedding at Windsor Castle instead, so the two kissed in front of a beautiful floral background.
Another difference? Meghan has her hand on Harry's, while Kate's hands were wrapped around her bouquet. On top of that, the angry, little girl who stole the spotlight in Kate and William's photo — their adorable bridesmaid, Grace Van Cutsem — didn't make it into Meghan and Harry's the second time around. In fact, there were no children in Meghan and Harry's photos to steal the show. (Even though plenty of children were present to walk Meghan down the aisle!)
Despite these differences, one thing remains the same: Meghan and Kate are clearly so in love with their men. Meghan Markle had a smile painted across her face the entire day, and in the photos above, you can see her giggling as she kisses Prince Harry. As for Kate? Well, she and William tied the knot in 2011 and the two have been head over heels in love ever since. The two recently welcomed their third child, Louis, and now all eyes are on Meghan and Harry to see if they grow their family.
