Rihanna May Be Releasing Even More Colorful Makeup With Fenty!
Is Rihanna releasing new makeup with Fenty Beauty?! During the 2018 Grammys, RiRi sparked speculation that she’s expanding her quickly growing beauty empire. Allure first noticed some new shades when the Ocean’s 8 actress changed up her look before performing “Wild Thoughts.”
Though she initially wore a deep red on her eyes, Rihanna made a drastic shift to a shocking violet paired with a bronze lip gloss. Adding to the speculation was makeup artist Priscilla Ono, who detailed every inch of the singer’s first makeup look, while only writing #fentyface for the second one. So, we may be seeing some bright purple shadows from the 29-year-old.
While launching her brand, Rihanna opened up to Time about her love of beauty. “Makeup is like a secret weapon,” she said. “Depending on my mood, my look, or the occasion, makeup can go from very subtle to a complete transformation, and that’s the fun in makeup: being able to play and create in endless ways.”
She’s definitely made sure her brand is as diverse as it can be, offering up 40 shades of foundation for a wide variety of skin tones. The impetus to create such an inclusive brand came from her own experience trying to find makeup that works for her. “I’ve had my makeup done thousands of time, and when it comes to foundation, you just never know how it’s going to turn out,” she said. “I think foundation should look like great skin, so it was important to me that the Pro Filt’r foundation had a soft matte finish because you want a dewy look, but never shiny! It was also important that every woman felt included in this brand. We are all so different, with our own unique skin tones, so we started with the 40 foundation shades out the gate.”
She also gave some insight into her goals for the brand as a whole. “The options are pretty much unlimited in the world of beauty,” she said. “I love challenges, so I’m going to continue to have fun and push the boundaries in this industry.” Well, we hope that this shadow is a go!
