Oh, mother! Relationships between moms and daughters are rarely simple — even when you're Selena Gomez. The 25-year-old singer recently posted a photo to Instagram of her childhood home and changed her Instagram profile picture to a snap of her mama, Mandy Teefey. Now, fans think the star is commenting on their relationship after her mom was reportedly hospitalized after hearing Selena and Justin Bieber were back together.

"The home I grew up in, from birth to 13… (no one was home when I knocked this time lol) I visit this place every chance I get," she captioned the nostalgic shot. "In many ways it very well could have been better than my life today, but I’m grateful for a voice that can enable change today. Even when I don’t know how to do it well or actually want it. I love you Grand Prairie. Thank you. ❤️ "

Not only did Sel's comments about her old house give us major feels, but we can't help but think that maybe she's ready to make peace with her mom. According to reports, the two women have been fighting ever since Selena rekindled her relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin. Mandy and Selena unfollowed each other and were not speaking during the holidays.

"It’s more complicated than just fighting over a guy,” a source told People. “Mandy and Selena have had their ups and down before. This isn’t the first time. When they fight, they fight hard. But when they love, they also love hard. Selena’s mom is still not happy about Justin,” another source added. “It’s definitely causing some family conflicts. It’s been hard on Selena. She really believes Justin has changed and wishes her family would trust her.”

Momma and I

Thankfully, it seems their rough patch is over. What better way to start new than by making a public statement on Instagram? Especially when you have over 100 million followers! And in the past, Selena has always had wonderful things to say about her mom.

"When I started working, my mom was the person in my life that helped guide me through most of that," she explained. "Everything that I am has kind of become a little bit of what my mom has gone through. She had the ability to make me feel like I was still capable of doing anything I wanted." We have faith in these two!
