Time to Get Real

Shanna rose to fame as Miss USA 24 years ago, and that coupled with her stint as a Playboy model solidified her as one of the sexiest women in the world.

Out of Control!

Fans got to know her even better when she had her own reality show on MTV from 2005-2006 called Meet the Barkers, starring her and then-husband Travis Barker, and their kids. Even then, it was obvious that Shanna was never anything but 100 percent herself.

Still Got It!

Shanna cares a lot about her health and fitness, and has always maintained an incredibly cut figure. However, sometimes there’s only so much you can do after having three kids, so she opted to have a tummy tuck to get her feeling good again.

Why She Did It

“6 months post op from my #mommymakeover with @leifrogersmd I am so thankful and so happy with my results,” she said, sharing this sexy photo in a green bikini on April 6. “This wasn’t for weight loss! It was to fix my tummy muscles!”

Back to Her Old Self

“I finally feel confident in a bikini again 🙌🏼👙” she gushed, admitting she will soon release a full YouTube video highlighting her journey. “It was a long healing process but I’m really glad I did it! Thanks to all the other moms who sent me encouraging messages! ❤️”

Not the First Time

This is far from the first time Shanna has shown off her bod and inspired her followers. In January she shared a photo wearing the same bikini she wore to compete in Miss USA, and it still looked so good on her!

Loving the Skin She’s In

“I’m actually 35lbs heavier now and I think it’s all in my boobs! 😂😂😂,” she confessed, clearly okay with that. “Don’t worry, I’m not trying to be 19 again. I like where I’m at!”

Just Keeps Getting Better

“However, I’m also almost at the 3-month mark from my #mommymakeover with @leifrogersmd,” she explained. “Yes I am very happy with my results! My stomach muscles are actually where they are supposed to be!” She also admitted she was suffering from a condition called Diastasis Recti, which according to WebMD is when “your belly sticks out because the space between your left and right belly muscles has widened.” and it can cause ” lower back pain, constipation, and urine leaking.”

Feeling Better

Luckily, just three months post-surgery, Shanna was healing well enough to start working out again. “I got the ok to go back to the gym which I started doing and I know it will just get better with time,” she said. “Many say 3 to 6 months! Thanks for everyone supporting me through it!”

All About Health

To further prove her tummy tuck was all about health, Shanna also began a 12-week program in January, and was super committed to finishing it. “Putting all my New Years resolutions to work! #yoga #chant #visualize,” she wrote, also revealing she was doing Kayla Itsine‘s program.

Good Genes AND Good Docs

Shanna’s doctor, Leif Rogers, further explained what he did to help her look and feel better on Instagram in Demeber. “I gave Shanna a tummy tuck and liposuction 5 weeks ago,” he said at the time. “Shanna has had three C-sections and this procedure covers her scars. Shanna, you look amazing and we are so happy for you!” We couldn’t agree more. ⠀

So Honest

“We all have our own insecurities,” said Shanna before the procedure. “After having my third child and third C-section there’s just parts of my tummy, no matter how many crunches I do, it’s just not ever going to be the way that I was pre-pregnancy.” Now, she can finally feel like her hard work is paying off.

Devoted Mom

Shanna’s three C-sections prove that she was willing to sacrifice anything for her beautiful children, Alabama, 13, and Landon, 15, with her Blink-182 ex, and Atiana, 20, with boxer Oscar de la Hoya.

Grownups

You’d never know it from looking at her, but Shanna’s kids are all pretty grown up now! On March 29, Shanna celebrated the 20th birthday of her stunning daughter Atiana. “Time is going by so fast … @atianadelahoya I am so incredibly proud of the young adult you are. It’s an honor to be your mom,” she sweetly wrote. Aw!

She also posted a sweet photo from a beach trip with her other two children, Alabama and Landon, the same month, captioning it “I just love them … my babes!”

After years of doing everything for her family, we think it was high time Shanna got to do something for herself. Keep doing you, girl! You’re an inspiration!
