The ‘Malibu’ crooner is no stranger to humanitarian work, but recently she began bringing her new hubby along for the ride with her. The 26-year-old founded the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014, an organization that “rallies young people to fight injustice.” Their focus is on youth homelessness and the LGBTQ community. On top of that, she and her 29-year-old man donated $500,000 to relief efforts in Malibu after the devastating fires left them, and many others, homeless in November 2018.

Meghan Markle

The Duchess of Sussex is all about service. She was a Global Ambassador for World Vision in 2016 to advocate for clean water in Rwanda. The 37-year-old former actress also served as a One Young World counselor at both the 2014 and 2016 conferences, where she gave talks on gender equality. One Young World’s mission is to “gather young leaders from around the world, help them make lasting connections & create positive change.”

After a massive bombing killed at least 20 and injured hundreds at the 25-year-old’s May 2017 Manchester Arena concert, the pop singer came back stronger than ever and ready to help the community heal. The One Love Manchester benefit show raised $13 million for the victims and their families.

Our girl Rih created the Clara Lionel Foundation Global Scholarship Program to support students from the Caribbean who are seeking higher education in the US. She also received the Humanitarian of the Year Award from Harvard University in 2017.

The queen of rap is also the queen of quietly doing good. The 36-year-old offered to pay a bunch of her Twitter followers’ college tuition and expenses in 2017, and the world just about lost their minds. But what you might not know is she also has been financially supporting villages in India for years. “This is the kind of thing that makes me feel the most proud,” she captioned a post on her IG about what the donations have done for one of the villages.

Lisa Vanderpump

This RHOBH star has dedicated herself to making the world a better place for puppies. LVP and her husband, Ken, have eight dogs of their own, so their love undoubtedly inspired them to create the Vanderpump Dog Foundation. They are a “dog rescue organization, working on both a domestic and international front to help create a better world for dogs globally.” The org is particularly dedicated to stopping the Yulin Dog Meat Festival that takes place annually in China.

John Legend

This soulful crooner has done a lot to better his community. The 40-year-old created the Show Me Campaign, which “seeks to give every child access to a quality education.” He also partnered with Millennium Promise Alliance to help African villages in need — plus, he established FREEAMERICA, a multi-year campaign aiming to transform America’s criminal justice system. Get it, John.

Leonardo Dicaprio

The iconic actor has always been an advocate for the environment, so the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation was born. The organization is “dedicated to the protection and wellbeing of all Earth’s inhabitants.” Their mission is to “support projects around the world that build climate resiliency, protect vulnerable wildlife, and restore balance to threatened ecosystems and communities.” In 2017, the organization awarded $20 million in environmental grants to more than 100 organizations.

Jennifer Lopez

In September 2017, the legendary singer donated $1 million to relief efforts in Puerto Rico to fix the devastation Hurricane Maria left behind. This donation isn’t the only light J. Lo has shed on the situation — the 49-year-old continues to contribute to relief efforts, including auctioning off wardrobes from TV shows she’s starred in.

The 41-year-old Human Rights lawyer has spent her entire career advocating for marginalized peoples, so naturally, she and her 57-year-old actor husband would come to create the Clooney Foundation for Justice after they got together. Their organization fights “for the rights of individuals unfairly targeted by oppressive governments through the courts.” The couple also donated $500,000 to the “March For Our Lives” movement in 2018.

Angelina Jolie

This 43-year-old actress is known for her humanitarian work. She and ex-husband Brad Pitt created the Jolie-Pitt foundation in 2006 in an effort to help humanitarian causes globally. Angelina was also appointed Special Convoy to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2012, after working with the program for a number of years.
