There’s a long list of young, hot viral stars to keep up with these days, but Gabi DeMartino is one who should be on your radar. Through the wonders of the Internet, the 22-year-old and her twin sister Niki DeMartino have established themselves as style and beauty icons among the teen and 20-something set.

After starting with a shared YouTube channel, they’ve since branched out with their own individual projects. Most recently, Gabi wrote and starred in a Scream Queens parody called Blood Queens, which premiered on Oct. 3 — just in time for Halloween!

Where does she live?

Gabi (and Niki) hail from Bethlehem, PA, a city of about 75,000 people and about 60 miles from Philadelphia. They live with their parents, Jeffrey DeMartino and Nelida Garcia-DeMartino — both dentists in the area — and attend nearby DeSales University.

How did she get famous?

The twins first sought YouTube fame with comedy skits, which didn’t catch on. What they did notice was that viewers were interested in their hair and fashion in the clips, and they ultimately decided to create a channel dedicated to just that. Niki and Gabi Beauty debuted in September 2012, and hit 100,000 subscribers within a year. They now have nearly six million subscribers on that account.

Who is she dating?

For two years, fans saw Gabi post about beau Brandon Grupe on the couple’s joint YouTube channel. Then, in spring 2015, Gabi asked for a break to see other people. Brandon didn’t want that, but she still got cozy with social media personality Collin Vogt, which caused a bit of a cheating scandal. Though she regrets the situation, Gabi says she’s a “real firm believer in that things happen for a reason,” and she and Collin just celebrated their second anniversary.

How is her health?

In the summer of 2017, Gabi revealed she’d been suffering with hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease for the past year. She explained, “I would never eat because I knew if I ate ONE thing you would see it on my stomach like I was 4 months pregnant.” Now, through medication and healthy living, she’s lost 20 pounds and feels better than ever.

Has she had plastic surgery?

Though she considered going under the knife to change her nose, Gabi admits she opted for a non-surgical nose job in late 2016. She’s also opened up about getting frequent lip injections.

Can she sing?

The musical theater major and her sister have released a number of original songs and covers on YouTube. Gabi, a big Ariana Grande fan, has also performed solo.
