Nicole, 25, and Azan Tefou (a.k.a Hassan M’Raouni) first sparked a connection on a dating app. Before we knew it, the reality star was hopping on a plane to meet her long-distance love in Morocco.

As their relationship became more serious, the couple faced more scrutiny. Even so, it seemed like Azan and Nicole weren’t fazed by the haters.

A Big Step

He took their relationship to the next level by popping the question during Season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé. However, their wedding didn’t exactly go off without a hitch.

Down the Aisle?

In June 2018, Nicole’s stepfather confirmed the couple decided to call off their nuptials. He said Nicole came back home to Florida because her visa ran out.

Trusting the Process

Fast forward to now, and Nicole recently shared the reason why they held off. “Too much pressure not enough time or money,” she wrote during a Q&A in April. “You can’t rush this kind of stuff. Do it in the right moment and it wasn’t the right moment yet.”

Don’t Get It Twisted

During a follow-up Q&A, Nicole addressed the biggest misconception she wanted to clear up. The TLC alum said it’s that “Azan isn’t 55 percent attracted to me.” She added, “He’s fully attracted to me. Sometimes you just need to add drama in places there isn’t.”

Together at Last

The couple is still happily engaged and they’ve managed to stay in contact via text, calls and video chat. On the bright side, they are reuniting this year in person!

In the mean time, Azan has been helping Nicole with her weight loss journey. In recent months, she’s already made major strides!

Nicole has been sharing updates with her fans throughout the process, revealing that she has some good and bad days, but overall just wants to be healthy and comfortable in her own skin.

Making Strides

“This shirt is usually tight around my mid-section, so it’s nice to put clothes on and be loose,” she captioned a photo in April. Nicole has done her best to stick to a workout and nutrition plan in order to achieve her goals.

Cheering Her On

As expected, Azan has been rooting her on along the way. “He’s never discouraging and he never talks down my efforts even if it means starting all over,” she dished.

Keeping It Simple

And get this: he also “loves” her new hair too. When viewers first met Nicole, she was pretty much a platinum blonde, but those days are long over!

Bold and Bright

The reality star later added a splash of color to her mane, going bright purple for several months. Nicole totally rocked the playful tone, looking confident as ever in pics with her daughter, May.

Peep the New Look

Most recently, the reality star enjoyed a trip to Boutique Out East Salon & Spa, and showed off her freshly cropped ‘do. Not only did she cut off several inches, but she also got her color touched up. When a fan asked if Azan liked it, she said, “Azan loves anything I choose.”
