And, that’s a win for Ariana Grande! The songstress won her first Grammy award on February 10 despite not attending the show. She was over-the-moon grateful and tweeted a huge thanks to fans for the coveted honor.

During the Grammys pre-show, the 25-year-old’s Sweetener won for Best Pop Vocal Album. She beat out Camila Cabello (Camila), Kelly Clarkson (Meaning of Life), Shawn Mendes (Shawn Mendes), Pink (Beautiful Trauma) and Taylor Swift (Bad Reputation).

“I know I’m not there tonight (trust, I tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh),” the “thank u, next” singer wrote. “I know I said I try not to put too much weight into these things … but f—k … this is wild and beautiful. thank you so much.”

After thanking a slew of industry people, including Pharrell and Scooter Braun, the brunette beauty added, “But mostly, thank y’all for being my main source of joy and inspiration always.”

The “needy” songstress has had a rocky relationship with the awards show this year. One of the show’s producers, Ken Ehrlich, claimed to The Associated Press that the nominee “felt it was too late for her to pull something together” which resulted in her pulling out of the show.

The singer clapped back on Twitter and called out the producers. “I’ve kept my mouth shut, but now you’re lying about me,” she tweeted. “I can pull together a performance overnight, and you know that, Ken. It was when my creativity & self-expression was stifled by you that I decided not to attend. I hope the show is exactly what you want it to be and more.”

She added, “I offered three different songs. It’s about collaboration. It’s about feeling supported. It’s about art and honesty. Not politics. Not doing favors or playing games. It’s just a game y’all … And I’m sorry, but that’s not what music is to me.”

We wish we could’ve seen Ari perform but we’re loving her big win!
