This Trump Queen Instagram Account Is the #FakeNews You Need Today
This. Is. YUGE. An Instagram account is going viral for Photoshopping Donald Trump’s face onto Queen Elizabeth’s body — and we have seriously not stopped laughing. Going by @ogtrumpqueen on the social media platform, the account has attracted almost 30,000 followers with its innovative posts. Watch the video below to see some of the best ones!
The person behind the account is New Jersey-based graphic designer Michal Krauthamer. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the artist claimed she isn’t trying to make a political statement. “It’s not about politics. It’s about the magic of Photoshop and making people laugh,” she said.
She originally started the project as a way to work on her skills. “I started working on Trump Queen in March, one day while practicing my Photoshop skills,” the 30-year-old explained. “I’m not sure where the idea came from. But I did one and it was just too funny, so I decided to make another one. And then another. And then another. Eventually, I had so many that I decided to post them on Facebook and Instagram to share with friends.”
At the end of the day, Krauthamer is happy to bring both sides of the political spectrum together on her hilarious account. “A lot of the comments I get are like, ‘[This makes me] feel better about the election’ or ‘I’m a Trump supporter and I still find this hilarious.’”
