Happy Birthday, Emma Watson! Check Out Her Most *Magical* Fashion Moments Over the Years

Even as a teenager, you could tell that Emma’s fashion sense was beginning to flourish. Basically, the British beauty was always destined for couture … not Gryffindor robes. #SorryJ.K.Rowling.

What continues to make Emma a style icon is her ability to switch it up between classic Hollywood glam and edgier looks. No matter which she’s wearing, it’s safe to say she’s going to light up any red carpet she sets foot on.

Emma snipping her signature Hermione locks was a big deal back in the day! The good news? She’s one of the few women who can effortlessly pull off a pixie cut. For real, she looked stunning.

Ooh, la la! The older Emma got, the more difficult it became for hair, makeup and costume designers on set of Harry Potter to make the brunette beauty look frumpy or nerdy — as the books describes her character.

Emma’s ‘fits slowly, but surely started to include little finishing touches that really tied everything together — like the statement gold bracelet featured in this look, for example. 

We know Hollywood is a big place, but if we had to declare the reigning queen of pantsuits, it would be Emma Watson … hands down!

Don’t think so? Here’s another killer example from 2012. We love how this ensemble walks the line between feminine and masculine so effortlessly.

Of course, Emma can rock a gown just as well as a pantsuit. We pretty much think about her 2014 Golden Globes dress on a daily basis.

… And we’re right back to pantsuit! Unlike the look featured two slides back, this asymmetrical ‘fit is all about accentuating Emma’s waist and legs. Needless to say, it succeeded with flying colors.

A sweetheart bodice complete with illusion neckline? We mean, come on, do we even need to explain why this gown was a home run?

The choker, the shoes, the plunging neckline … there’s not a single flaw with this look. As much as we love seeing Emma in color, by 2017/2018, it was becoming more and more clear that her comfort zone was black.

Don’t get it twisted, though! Just because Emma gravitates toward black, doesn’t mean she’s not afraid to get playful every now and again. Her 2017 MTV Movie Awards dress is the perfect example! Those sequins are everything.

This dress … oh, this dress, how we love it so! As mentioned, Emma’s ability to bounce between edgy and classy is exactly what makes her a fashion icon. She could rock this again and again and we’d never get sick of it.

Before you even comment, yes, we know the bangs are, er, a bit much. However, we’re looking at the gown, people. Her arms look amazing, the silhouette is to die for and that neck is serving Cleopatra realness in the best way.

We haven’t seen a whole lot of Miss Watson in 2019 thus far, but what we have seen is, of course, perfection! This green pantsuit, coupled with a simple pair of yellow heels is such an adorable look. She doesn’t only dress the part of a #BossLady, she IS a #BossLady.
