‘Bachelorette’ Contestant Luke P.’s Fallout With Hannah Brown Is About Sex — But He’s No Virgin
Drama, drama, drama! It seems as though Bachelorette contestant Luke P. gets sent home by Hannah Brown after an awkward conversation about sex. This may have you wondering if Luke is a virgin like the previous Bachelor leading man, Colton Underwood. Luke, 24, has spoken out a lot this season about how he used to “chase sex” before becoming such a devout Christian. He divulged to the Alabama beauty that he wants to wait until he finds his future wife before engaging in sex again. Their physical relationship and faith seem to be what unravels their relationship, according to teasers for the July 15 episode.
Fantasy suites seem to be the undoing of Luke and Hannah. A promo video shows the contestant prying into her relationships with the other finalists — Peter, Jed and Tyler C. “So, let’s talk about sex, and let’s say you have had sex with one or multiple of these guys,” Luke can be seen saying over dinner. “I’d completely remove myself from this relationship.”
Hannah is obviously disturbed by this and their fight escalates quickly. “My husband would never say what you’ve said to me,” she snapped back at him. “I have had sex. And honestly, Jesus still loves me. From obviously how you feel, me f—king in a windmill, you probably wanna leave.” The teaser ends with the former beauty queen flipping the bird to his black SUV.
Luke has been an extremely controversial contestant all season long. He addressed his questionable behavior in a lengthy Instagram post on May 28. “First I want you all to know how hard it has been for me to watch myself this season so far,” he captioned a photo of himself and the leading lady. “Regardless of what is aired AND IF [Hannah] and I are together or not my behavior in all situations has been and will continue to be exposed.”
He noted that he’s trying to stay positive and simply move on from his mistakes. “I have learned a lot and I am continuing to learn about my flaws as a man,” the athlete continued. “I’m the first to admit I am far from perfect. This journey has [given] me a great opportunity to grow and mature as a man, for that I am grateful.”
