Let’s Go Party! Kacey Musgraves Is a Total Barbie Girl at the 2019 Met Gala
Work it, girl! Kacey Musgraves stunned in a pink Moschino dress at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday, May 6, and she totally channeled her inner Barbie with the look.
The Grammy winner dropped multiple hints on Instagram before the big night as to what she might wear, and it seemed like she was going to dress like the iconic doll. “Come on @Barbie, let’s go party,” she wrote on Twitter.
Earlier that same day, the “Space Cowboy” crooner uploaded a picture of her holding tiny pink sunglasses. “MET Monday …. !!” she wrote with two pink heart emojis. “#METGala TIME TO START GLAM!”
Immediately, fans took to Instagram to explain how excited they were for her look. One person wrote, “Queen, you’re going to kill everyone,” while another echoed, “Ughhhhhh so excited!!!” A third person chimed in, writing, “Christmas morning waiting for your look, mom.”
The brunette beauty has been killing the fashion game this year. At the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on March 14, she wore a short green funky dress that definitely made her stand out.
At the 2019 Oscars, she wore an all-pink dress that gave us major fairy princess vibes. “It’s an honor to get to wear this dress,” Kacey gushed to Ryan Seacrest in February about her Giambattista Valli couture gown. “It’s like, ‘Make way for the dress!’ I need about 10 feet,” she joked.

Many of Kacy’s followers are hoping that she gets a photo with Harry Styles inside the venue. The duo won Best Cover Song for their performance of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” at the music awards. In June 2018, Kacey and Harry, 25, sang the hit tune together while the U.K. native performed at Madison Square Garden. Immediately, the duet went viral.
Unfortunately, the former One Direction band member couldn’t celebrate with the Texas native at the time, but he did send her a sweet video. “Kacey, we won Best Cover Song for the iHeart Awards. Congratulations, thanks for singing Shania Twain with me,” he said while he got his nails done.
Now that the two are in the same place, people are hoping for a reunion. “I WANT KACEY AND HARRY CONTENT THAT’S WHAT I’M HERE FOR,” one user wrote. A second person exclaimed, “Reunion with Harry today.”
