Creepy Clip of Matt Lauer Interviewing Anne Hathaway Resurfaces Amid Sexual Harassment Scandal

A 2012 interview clip featuring Matt Lauer and Anne Hathaway has resurfaced amid claims of the newly-fired Today show host’s “inappropriate sexual behavior.” The video shows Matt asking Anne about a wardrobe malfunction that had occurred earlier that week. Though the actress was promoting her film Les Miserables, Matt began the interview with a comment about the paparazzi shots. Watch the video below to see the awkward interaction:

The telling clip starting circulating after Matt’s termination. “I have hated Matt Lauer ever since his disgusting interview with Anne Hathaway,” one user wrote. “He grilled her about a paparazzi’s exploitative upskirt photo of her, said ‘seen a lot of you lately,’ then asked if ‘she’d learned her lesson?’ F–k this dude.”

NBC announced just yesterday that they had let go the longtime employee in a statement. “Matt Lauer has been terminated from NBC News. On Monday night, we received a complaint from a colleague about inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace by Matt Lauer. As a result, we’ve decided to terminate his employment,” the statement revealed. “While it is the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, we were also presented with reason to believe this may not have been an isolated incident.”
