Tensions are rising between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before the royal wedding — and Queen Elizabeth is making matters worse. Just weeks after announcing their engagement, Meghan is struggling to adjust to life in London.

Sources are revealing exclusively to Life & Style that Meghan, 36, is being pushed to sign a prenup by the monarch — who has yet to approve of the May nuptials. The queen hopes to protect her grandson’s $40 million fortune, but Meghan is hurt, the source says, “that it would even cross the queen’s mind that she could have an ulterior motive for marrying Harry.” Seeing as Meghan was invited to spend Christmas at the family’s country estate at Sandringham, the first for a royal fiancée, things could get awkward.

However, Prince Harry, 33, isn’t as keen as his grandmother to have the former actress sign on the dotted line — and a pal expects Harry to follow Meghan’s lead. “Harry loves Meghan and will do anything for her,” the insider adds. Plus, Meghan has a small fortune of her own, with an estimated net worth of $5 million.

Prenup tension aside, the brunette beauty is already busy planning her wedding to Prince Harry, with the couple sparing no expense on the $30 million ceremony. “Harry and Meghan aren’t holding back on anything,” an insider previously told Life & Style. “It will be a day of glitz and glamour.” So what does a day of glitz and glamour include? Meghan’s designer wedding dress will be custom-made and have a budget of around $500,000. The pair will also spend $2 million on private jets for their famous guests, expected to include Serena Williams and David and Victoria Beckham.

And we know Prince Harry will do anything to make his bride-to-be happy. “I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly — it was a confirmation to me that all the stars were aligned,” he said. “This beautiful woman literally tripped and fell into my life. I fell into her life and the fact that she will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well is obviously a huge relief to me because she’ll be able to deal with everything else that comes with it.”
