Let’s be real, Rihanna is a goddess. The singer recently confessed that she used her own curves as part of the inspiration behind her new Fenty collection. She always looks incredible and her clothing line is definitely a reflection of that. The songstress has shaken up the fashion industry with her brand’s inclusivity and she doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
“Whether it’s through fashion, lingerie, music, makeup … we try to get everybody involved and included in our brand,” the 31-year-old told E! at Fenty’s NYC pop-up shop on June 18. She added that her own “body fluctuations” made her even more sensitive to the importance of welcoming all body types.
“We have our fit models, which is the standard size from factories, you just get your samples made in one size. But then, I want to see it on my body, I want to see it on a curvy girl with thighs and a little bit of booty and hips,” the Grammy winner explained. “And now I have boobs that I never had before … you know, I don’t even know how to sleep sometimes, it’s challenging, so imagine getting dressed.”
Her Release 6.19 collection is the newest thing to come from the brand and RiRi assured that she wants everyone who wears it to feel like their best self. “It’s all of these things I take into consideration because I want women to feel confident in my stuff,” she added. While she just dropped new items, fans can expect Fenty to keep their vibe going.
“We always just try to push ourselves,” the “Work” singer said alongside Fenty’s style director Jahleel Weaver. “We pride ourselves in challenging ourselves to do better and push ourselves further, and how can we get our message across in a more impactful way?”
