Hold Up … It Totally Looks Like Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul Are Engaged
Whereas most normal people receive a massive hangover for their 21st birthday, popular YouTuber Tana Mongeau received a massive diamond ring. That’s right, ladies and gentleman, it looks like Tana’s not-so longtime boyfriend, Jake Paul, popped the question to his ladylove on Monday, June 24. “JAKE JUST PROPOSED,” Tana tweeted in the wee hours of the morning, adding, “I’m……. engaged………………”
Of course, considering she and the controversial influencer, 22, have been dating for all of 20 minutes, a lot of fans are speculating that the proposal is a stunt. “If this is a joke, I’m going to be pissed. If this isn’t a joke, I’m going to be pissed,” one fan responded to Tana’s tweet, to which she replied, “It’s not. I’m engaged. Holy f–k.” Ummm, holy f–k, indeed!
Here’s the thing, as much as we ship Tana and Jake — a.k.a Jana — this wouldn’t exactly be the first time that either of them has faked something extreme for clout (notoriety, press, shock value, etc.). Case in point: Jake also “proposed” to his ex-girlfriend Erika Costell. In fact, the pair even went through with “getting married.”
Jake’s M.O. is seemingly so predictable, though, that one fan speculated the entire course of events in the weeks to come. “I can’t wait for the next two months to be ‘ME AND MY HUSBAND ______’ until a drama channel comes out with ‘JANA WEDDING IS OFF?!?!’ and then, Tana doesn’t post for a month and then, she comes back with something totally unrelated [and] then, two videos later, she posts, ‘What Happened’ crying.’”
No tea or shade to the alleged bride and groom-to-be, but that sounds pretty darn accurate, if you ask us. One thing we do know for certain, is that Jake bought Tana a brand new car. So, engaged or not, the blonde beauty most definitely had one memorable birthday.
