It looks like Meghan Markle has a very powerful fan! Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, finally weighed in on what she thought about the newly-minted royal, her transition into the palace and her wedding day look. Spoiler: Badda-ba-ba-ba, she’s lovin’ it. Also, we don’t think Anna actually eats at McDonald’s.

“The royal wedding had the whole world watching and I think that her choice was brilliant,” the 69-year-old said during a “Go Ask Anna” interview video. “It was sophisticated. It was chic. It was grown-up. It was an English designer, albeit one that was working for a French house, which, in a way, was a message to the world. Yes, I’m from somewhere else but I belong. I thought she looked fantastic.”

The former Suits actress’ wedding dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller who is the artistic director for Givenchy. The designer made such a splash with the duchess’ custom-made dress that she won the Womenswear Designer of the Year Award during the British Fashion Awards. The California native surprised everyone when she took the stage to present the prestigious award to her close friend.

The long-sleeved dress wasn’t the only decision the Vogue icon was impressed with. “The fact that she chose to walk down the aisle by herself I also thought spoke for an independent woman,” she added.

The fashion icon also gave her thoughts on the mom-to-be’s transition into royalty. The magazine mogul divulged that she heard that the rest of the family was surprised by the former actress’ morning routine and how early she woke up. “She’s a normal California girl. She gets up early and does yoga and meditates,” she said. “And, also [Meghan] sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? That she was going to send messages via pigeon? So, I think she’s amazing.”

We do too, Anna.
