Fans Rally Around Jeffree Star and Boyfriend Nathan After Their Dog Diamond Passes Away
We’re thinking of you, Jeffree Star and Nathan Schwandt. On Tuesday, June 11, the popular beauty guru took to his YouTube channel to reveal that his dog Diamond, who he shared with his longtime boyfriend, died. “Today we have to share some devastating news … our beautiful baby girl Diamond passed away a few days ago,” Jeffree, 33, captioned the video.
“She was not only my best friend but the light in my world. Nathan and the rest of our family feel so heartbroken and have been crying for days,” he continued. “There is no love like the love I have for my dogs and I’m at a loss for words,” Jeffree added, referring to his five other Pomeranians — Diva, Daddy, Delicious, Drama and Da Vinci.
“We wanted to let you know what happened and to celebrate her life. Diamond was always smiling and she will forever be in my heart and Nathan’s heart,” he concluded the message.
Within minutes of sharing the news, Jeffree’s loyal fans flocked to his social media pages to share their love and condolences. “I am so very sorry to hear this. No one will know the true pain you feel other than you two. Sending you nothing but love,” one user commented. “Oh, no! Poor baby. Love you, Jeffree. You’re in my prayers,” added another.
“I am so very sorry. She had a good life and was so fortunate with so much love. Sending hugs to you both. Losing a fur baby is always awful,” someone else chimed in. Jeffree’s somber announcement came on the heels of three emotional clips he uploaded to his Instagram Story on Monday, June 10. “We lost a member of our family,” he said through tears.
Family, indeed. Dogs are so special to their owners. With that, we’re sending Jeffree and Nathan so much love and light during this difficult time. RIP Diamond.
