2013: “Punk: Chaos to Couture”

In 2013, Kim rocked a dress designed by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. “I was Kanye’s plus one and so nervous!” she confessed. “I didn’t know anyone and I’m sure no one wanted me there,” Kim continued. “I did my own lipstick and the color is so off. I went home and cried after of insecurity, but this is one of my fave looks now.”

2014: “Charles James: Beyond Fashion”

In 2014, Kim wore a stunning number by Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. “I was invited on my own this year! We just had our Vogue cover and Alber gave me the dress I wore on the cover so Anna [Wintour] suggested I wear Lanvin. Not sure why we picked blue. Following our cover, this is a dream,” Kim wrote.

2015: “China: Through The Looking Glass”

To be honest, we still think about Kim’s 2015 Roberto Cavalli gown designed by Peter Dundas. “This is his first dress designing for Cavalli. I was two months pregnant with Saint and desperately trying to hide it,” Kim admitted. “I felt so confident this year! I had more of an opinion and collaborated so well. I really felt so good this night.”

2016: “Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology”

Who could forget Kim’s futuristic 2016 Olivier Rousteing for Balmain look? “I was back to insecure this year because I hadn’t lost all of my baby weight,” she began. “Big mistake to bleach the brows, but Kanye [West] looked so good this year with those blue eyes! It was super controversial that he wore denim.”

2017: “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art Of The In-Between”

In 2017, Kim looked like a dream in Vivienne Westwood. “This was my first year going solo,” she wrote. “I was so nervous to go by myself … I almost threw up on the way and I had to pee every second. I was FaceTiming my sisters to meet up at the top of the stairs,” she continued. Vivienne made me this beautiful dress from her archive.”

2018: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”

Our greatest hope is that Kim kills it just as hard this year as she did in this Versace gown in 2018. “This was the first time Donatella recreated one of Gianni’s cross dresses that were in the exhibit,” Kim expressed. “This dress fit like a glove! I knew exactly what I wanted and was my most confident this year! ‘90s, chainmail, simple and sexy.”
