Bachelor’s Madison Prewett ‘Likes’ Cryptic Tweets About Pleasing ‘Everyone’ Following Nick Viall Drama
Hmmm … Madison Prewett “liked” a bunch of cryptic tweets about pleasing people and being nice after Nick Viall slammed her for being “vain” and “a liar” on his podcast “The Viall Files” while speaking with Lauren Zima on April 27. The former contestant on Peter Weber’s season hasn’t directly responded to the Bachelor Nation alum, but she hinted at her emotions on social media.
“It’s impossible to be 100 [percent] happy and please everyone at the same time,” a tweet from TikTok star Addison Rae read that Madi, 24, gave a thumbs up to. “I feel like we’ve all heard the saying, ‘If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all’ at least once growing up … why can’t we live by that?” a second tweet from the influencer said that the former college athlete also “liked.”
Nick, 39, noted a few things about the Alabama native that raised red flags for him during her time in the spotlight. “We also know Madison to be a little bit of a liar. It’s true!” the former Bachelor in Paradise contestant explained while FaceTiming the ET host for the remote podcast episode. “I mean, people wanna forget. I know Madison wants to forget it. But, her Instagram. That’s not an allegation. It’s a fact she did that.”
The situation Nick is referring to happened in January after Madison’s first one-on-one date with Peter, 28. She left a comment on her own Instagram that said, “Beautiful date, Madi. You are so genuine and real.” Fans thought she meant to leave the comment from a fan account she created but forgot to toggle between the profiles. Her friend later swooped in and claimed, “Oops. Thought I wrote that comment about being real [and] genuine from my account but was logged into Madi’s from when she back from filming. Don’t hate me, @MadiPrew.” Followers weren’t exactly buying it, but the foster parent recruiter still went on to be loved by fans.
“There’s a logical explanation for it, which is that she wanted people to like her. It’s a totally relatable thing,” the former Dancing With the Stars contestant continued. “Listen, I’m more critical of that, and I know Madison thinks I don’t like her, and I know people think I’ve been hard on Madison. I think she’s just fine, I’ve even defended Madison. But if you’re gonna be righteous and you’re gonna be pious, and you’re gonna like talk about your relationship with God, and how you want to be an example to young women, blah blah blah blah blah, then I hold you to a higher standard.”
Nick added, “Don’t be a liar, don’t be vain. I’m vain, I can be vain! Don’t have your family use Bruce Pearl‘s house for your hometown and sell it as your own home. When it’s not your home!” Reports surfaced that the house featured during Madi’s hometown date did not actually belong to the Prewett family, but this is something a handful of contestants have done in the past.
The season 21 star isn’t the only Bachelor Nation alum who has shaded brunette beauty. Peter publicly called Madi out after her bombshell interview on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s “Off the Vine” podcast on April 21. During her sit down with the former Bachelorette, Madison alleged that Peter tried to get back together with her days before he was seen with Kelley Flanagan in Chicago on March 25. “You were telling me how much you loved me and wanted to get back together and now you’re with the one person that was my best friend,” Madi said. “It just feels a little hurtful.”
“You’d think you’d have a little more respect for this situation given we both know there’s more to the story,” the pilot wrote while tagging Madison in a comment on Bachelor Nation Scoop’s Instagram.
The Bachelor drama never sleeps!
