The scariest times are when things are in limbo — at least, we can imagine it feels that way for Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice as her husband, Joe Giudice, as he faces potential deportation now that he’s finally been released from prison. Tre’s brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, gave an update on how the 46-year-old matriarch is doing and revealed how her hubby is dealing with his ongoing legal issues.

“She’s doing good. She’s OK, she’s hanging in there,” the 39-year-old said of her sister-in-law during an interview with E! News. “You know, what can you do, you have to just wait it out now and see what happens.”

It seems as though the Giudices and the Gorgas have been doing a lot of that — waiting. “We have no idea [what her life is going to be like],” Melissa continued. “We have to wait and see what happens and see how it goes.”

Teresa’s brother, Joe Gorga, 39, piped up with a few words of wisdom, too: “[She’s] just gotta be strong, that’s it.”

As far as Tre’s hubby goes, it seems as though the Giudice patriarch is doing the best he can. “We’ve spoken to him, but he’s alright,” Joe Gorga said. “Yeah, he’s obviously very busy today doing what he has to do,” Melissa added, hinting at his undoubtedly in depth legal preparations.

Joe Giudice was released from his 41-month prison sentence on March 14 directly into ICE custody. He and the Giudice family are working diligently with their legal counsel to try to keep the father of four in the country. If they don’t succeed, he will be sent back to his native Italy and unable to legally return to the U.S.

Clearly, the unsurmountable pressure has him stressed out. “He’s lost a lot of weight, he’s very lean right now,” Joe Gorga said of his brother-in-law.
