Barbz came to slay, not play! Nicki Minaj has been making appearances during New York Fashion Week 2017, both as an attendee and as a performer. But the latest look she wore to the Oscar de la Renta show on Monday, Sept. 11 was her boldest yet — proving that she’ll brave warm temperatures in the name of fashion.

The “Rake It Up” rapper hit the streets of NYC on an 80-degree day wearing a black-and-white hooded fur coat from Oscar de la Renta’s Fall/Winter 2017 ready-to-wear line, People reported. The coat is retailed at $19,000 and she paired it with a black jumpsuit — also designed by Oscar de la Renta — and completed her look with strappy Christian Louboutin heels with a bow detail.

She shared a series of photos of her ‘fit on Instagram with the caption, “Barbie in the city” — and of course, the look gave her fans life. Many of them left comments with some variation of “Yassssssss queen,” but others were upset that Nicki would wear real animal fur. “Ugly people wear fur,” one fan wrote, and another commented, “I love you Nicki, but I hope that wasn’t real fur.”

Nicki isn’t just attending NYFW as a fan, she’s working as well. Over the weekend, the 34-year-old performed during the Philipp Plein’s Spring/Summer ’18 show with fellow hip-hop stars Rae Sremmurd, Yo Gotti, 21 Savage, and Future — and she paused in between her set to make a statement about diversity and inclusion of people of color in the fashion industry.

“Thank you, Philipp Plein, for including our culture,” she expressed on stage, according to Billboard. “Designers get really big and really rich off of our culture, and then you don’t see a motherf–ker that look anything like us in the front row half the time. So let’s make some noise for Philipp Plein tonight.”
