Start The Year Off Right With Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Royal Diet Secrets

The newly minted Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, enjoys a loosely vegan diet. On most weekdays, the 37-year-old regularly dines on salad, fruit and pasta. She’s also a big fan of drinking her veggies.

“Green juice is a food-as-medicine philosophy for me,” the former actress has said. To keep her skin sparkling, Meghan eats almonds and tries to stay gluten-free. On weekends, however, she’ll go for a cheesy omelette and saucy seafood.

Her “vices” are French fries and wine. “I’m always hoping I’m having lunch with people, so we can share fries,” Meghan admitted. Her husband, 34-year-old Prince Harry, goes for whole, unprocessed foods with no added salt, sugar and oils.

Before walking the aisle, he also dialed down carbs and gave up one food entirely. “I don’t even eat pizza anymore,” the prince admitted. While it may be tasty, just a plain slice has more than 300 calories, 13.5 grams of fat and a whopping 720 milligrams of sodium, which are reasons enough to say arrivederci!
