Happy Mean Girls day, y’all! On Oct. 3, Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram to recreate the ever-iconic October 3rd scene from everyone’s favorite pre-teen movie — and let’s just say: It brought back all the early 2000’s feels. Granted, LiLo replaced Aaron Samuels with some random dude and threw in a flower crown filter, but, hey! At least she’s keeping up with the times.

Naturally, fans went absolutely bananas and filled Lindsay’s comment section with love. “I’ve been waiting all year for this! Love you, Linds,” one user commented. “This is iconic. Happy Mean Girls day, beauty!” added another. Some fans even added their own favorite quotes from the movie, “I want my pink shirt back!” someone chimed in. “On Wednesdays we wear pink!” wrote another.

Unfortunately, some people were unable to enjoy the nostalgia in the wake of Lindsay’s recent scandal. On Sept. 29, the 32-year-old shared an unsettling video of herself following a Syrian family through the streets of Russia. The former A-list actress claimed that the two young children in the video were being abducted.

“Hey everyone, I just want to show you a family that I met — a Syrian refugee family that I’m really worried about. They really need help,” she began in the video.

“You want to come with me? Come with me. I’ll take care of you guys,” she said to the children in both Arabic and English. “Do you want to stay in a hotel tonight? Do you want to watch movies? It would be so cool to watch a movie on a TV or a computer,” she continued. The altercation continued for about two minutes until someone who appeared to be the mother of the children punched Lindsay in the face for trying to grab one of the kids.

Needless to say, the internet was very confused by the whole ordeal — and some people even suggested that Lindsay should have been arrested for her unwarranted advances on this family. At this time, no formal charges have been pressed. Here’s hoping Lindsay sticks to posting about Mean Girls… and that’s it!
