Moving on! Bachelor Nation alums Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson shared an update about their pal Angela Amezcua and what they thought of her ex Clay Harbor‘s drama with Nicole Lopez-Alvar on Bachelor in Paradise. The newlyweds introduced Clay and Angela — who dated for eight months before appearing on season 6 of the reality show. They dished to Life & Style that she is on to bigger and better things.

“Angela is doing great. She is thriving, she is happy, beautiful. She is great. Not worried about her at all,” Krystal gushed about her bestie during a workout event hosted by Garden of Life plant-based protein drinks on October 23. Her hubby added, “She is a great woman.”

Although Clay and Angela split a few months before going to the beach in Mexico, the brunette beauty still had some residual hurt feelings over the way he abruptly ended things. She ruffled some feathers when she decided to join the cast after Chris and Krystal’s wedding while the former NFL player was trying to heat up his romance with Nicole.

The newly minted Mr. and Mrs. noted that they’re trying to stay neutral about the situation between the exes. “We are actually both friends with both of them. Chris introduced them, but there are two sides to every story and we just love them both and we want them both to be happy,” the fitness coach noted.

Although they seemed to be one of the strongest couples on Paradise this past season, Clay and Nicole not only fizzled out but took their drama off-screen. The Miami native accused the reality stud of leading her on and wasting her time. She also took a stab at his “failed” NFL career.

“Here is [the] thing, you have to just continue to move forward in life and there are sometimes people who say things maybe out of anger and frustration. I think that those are the times where you need to give yourself an evaluation and focus on yourself,” Chris began before defending his friend from Becca Kufrin‘s season of The Bachelorette. “Clay had an amazing NFL career — nine years over $8.2 million in career earnings, that is my boy … I am not taking his side, it’s just the fact that he was very successful. The average lifespan of an NFL player is maybe two, max three years. He tripled that. So, hell of a career, you know. Great provider for his family and now he is going to go on to the next stage of his career.”

Krystal and Chris have both learned a lot since their stints in the reality franchise and the blonde beauty had some very sage advice. “In regards to Nicole’s comments, I think she should take the high road and the past is the past and both of them should just move on,” she explained. “I think she has a boyfriend, too, so I am not sure why she is commenting. Don’t look back, look forward.”

Hopefully, all the former contestants can find what they’re looking for!
