Clay made a surprising confession to Nicole about his prior relationship with Angela. “In my whole last relationship, I never said I love you,” he expressed. “I never said it, no. I care about her a lot and stuff. But I mean, to me, that is a really strong word. If I love you, you’re my wife.”

Angela unexpectedly joined the season 6 cast, which put a huge strain on her ex’s romance with Nicole. The model gave her version of events and claimed she and the football player had been picking out their children’s names and talking about marriage before Clay dumped her seemingly out of the blue.

It Was a Good Run
The duo had been dating for seven months and spent a lot of time in Clay’s hometown of Chicago.
In October 2018, Angela appeared on Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins‘ Almost Famous podcast and dished that she and the football player were thinking of moving in together.

“I’m still in South Carolina, but before Paradise, I was maybe gonna move to Nashville, and that’s still kind of the plan. But I don’t know,” Angela said during the October 1 episode.

She continued, “We’re talking, there’s been some things that we’re talking about. … It’s great because our schedules are super flexible right now, so it’s kind of like anything is a possibility at this point.”

Ashley pointed out that Clay could go anywhere as an NFL free agent. Angela explained, “If he gets picked up, then I can kind of go wherever he gets picked up or whatever.”

His Head Is Still in the Game
Clay is still a free agent but told NJ.com in March that he’s not ready to retire quite yet. “I still have a passion for the game … It’s what I love. I wake up in the morning and that’s what I want to do,” he said.

Angela has a talent agency listed in Tennessee on her Instagram bio so it seems like she may be trying to make the dream of moving to Nashville a reality.

Too Bad
These two obviously made a gorgeous pair but something must’ve not clicked between them.
After a very confusing period of time where Eric was “following the cheese,” he decided Angela wasn’t exactly what he was looking for. The two ended on a sour note.
