Clay made a surprising confession to Nicole about his prior relationship with Angela. “In my whole last relationship, I never said I love you,” he expressed. “I never said it, no. I care about her a lot and stuff. But I mean, to me, that is a really strong word. If I love you, you’re my wife.”

The model gave her version of events and claimed she and the football player had been picking out their children’s names and talking about marriage before Clay dumped her seemingly out of the blue.

The duo had been dating for seven months and spent a lot of time in Clay’s hometown of Chicago.
In October 2018, Angela appeared on Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins‘ Almost Famous podcast and dished that she and the football player were thinking of moving in together.

“I’m still in South Carolina, but before Paradise, I was maybe gonna move to Nashville, and that’s still kind of the plan. But I don’t know,” Angela said during the October 1 episode.
