Hannah Brown Inspired a Country Song That Disses Her, But She’s Cool With It: ‘It’s Hilarious’
The world can’t get enough of Hannah Brown — including country singer Jake Owen, who wrote a song about her from Bachelor star Peter Weber‘s point of view. The track throws some slight shade at the former Bachelorette, but like always, she shrugged it off. In fact, she’s kind of into the tune.
Jake went live on Twitter on Thursday, January 9, to play the song and explain his reasoning behind it. “Monday night, my girlfriend had the damn TV on and all you heard about on the new Bachelor was Alabama Hannah, it was just Alabama Hannah everywhere. She won’t go away,” he said referring to the season premiere of the show. “Believe it or not, I met her on the last season of The Bachelorette, I played ‘Made For You’ for them in I think it was like Rhode Island or something. She’s a cool girl. This isn’t even a dig at Alabama … the actual Alabama Hannah … Man, I started feeling something for this Peter guy. I don’t even know this Peter guy.”

He went on to explain that Peter, 28, giving Hannah, 25, multiple chances is a situation many can relate to, which is why he was inspired to turn it into a song. The lyrics are the following: “Alabama Hannah, what do you want?/ If it’s love that you need, well then honey, it’s gone. You had your chances, so won’t you leave me alone/ Alabama Hannah, won’t you go on back home.”

Hannah took a listen and even promoted the song. “It’s hilarious and even though it’s like a diss at me the whole time, I was tapping my foot along to it and laughing,” she said on her Instagram Story that same night. “You need to check it out! Jake, let me know when you need me for the music video.” She is a cool girl, indeed!
Better just be his truth Christopher. I’m not just chop liver now—you still have to love me and try to understand my mess. @chrisbharrison https://t.co/v8JhX3e3pc

Even Chris Harrison approved of the tune. “My man @jakeowen speaking his truth to Hannah B. on behalf of Peter #TheBachelor,” he tweeted. However, Hannah made it clear to the TV host that it “Better just be his truth Christopher. I’m not just chop liver now — you still have to love me and try to understand my mess. @chrisbharrison.” LOL Well said!
