Kelley Flanagan *Finally* Reveals Why Peter Weber Didn’t ‘Pick’ Her on ‘The Bachelor’
Spill the tea! Bachelor contestant Kelley Flanagan *finally* revealed why boyfriend Peter Weber eliminated her during season 24, despite their strong connection.
“Why didn’t Peter pick you the first time? We all knew it was fate,” a fan asked the Chicago native, 28, during an Instagram Q&A on Wednesday, September 16.
“Peter was told/thought I didn’t like him and was only there to have ‘fun,’” the lawyer responded to the question and added a face with a monocle emoji.
Kelley exclusively told Life & Style in March, before she and Peter, 29, rekindled their romance, that the “whole process” of the reality dating show “maybe got to him a little bit,” so her reasoning seems to line up.
The former contestant finished in the top five of the pilot’s season but was sent packing during a three-on-one date with Victoria Fuller and Hannah Ann Sluss. The leading man went on to get engaged to Hannah Ann, 24, during the finale, but they split a few months later because he still had feelings for runner-up Madison Prewett. He and Madi, 24, announced they went their separate ways for good on March 12, just two days after they reunited on After the Final Rose.
Later that month, Peter shocked fans when he started quarantining with Kelley in Chicago amid the coronavirus pandemic. They went Instagram official as a couple in April and have been head over heels for each other ever since.
These days, the reality duo is “madly in love” with each other, Peter’s mom, Barbara Weber, exclusively told Life & Style in July. “They’re very compatible. The most important [thing] I think in any relationship is to really have fun with each other — and they definitely do have fun with each other!” she dished.
While Kelley and Peter aren’t shy about their relationship, there’s definitely more to the story that they’re eager to share with fans. The former Bachelorette contestant teased that he has plans to “explain” how everything went down between them in 2021.
“We’ll get it all out one day!” Peter replied to a fan on social media who asked for the details about his romance with his gorgeous girlfriend. “There’s just sooo much that no one knows about yet so it’ll be good to get it out.”
Of course, followers were hungry for more details. “In the form of? A show? book? Just coming out and saying it?” another user asked. Peter simply replied, “3/15/21,” which marks almost one year following After the Final Rose.
It’s amazing to see Kelley and Peter made their way back to each other!
