Don’t worry, everyone, it’s just platonic! Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper absolutely owned the Oscars with their performance of “Shallow” from A Star Is Born. After the two got very close during the ending of the song, fans instantly started shipping the co-stars. The songstress seemingly squashed any sort of romance rumors with one, simple tweet.

“Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius,” she wrote on Twitter with a photo of the pair during the performance. Please note the word “friend.” It seems like there’s nothing romantic going on here, but they do make an amazing duo and we would love for them to collaborate on another project.

“My favorite team,” one fan gushed while someone else added, “This moment right here made my heart melt y’all are the cutest.” Another user exclaimed, “You were the best part of the evening! The performance was beautiful!” Their duet was very powerful and people took notice. A different commenter admitted, “My heart was racing the entire time!”

As of now, there’s no reason to believe Bradley, 44, and Gaga, 32, are anything more than friends. The director has been with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk, since 2017 and they share their 12-month-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper.

It was confirmed by the Joanne artist’s rep on February 19 that she and her fiancée, Christian Carino, called it quits after two years together. They were first spotted hanging out at a Kings of Leon concert in January 2017 and ended up getting engaged over the summer.

Although they attended the SAG Awards together in January 2019, Christian (and Gaga’s engagement ring) were both missing at the Grammys on February 10. Man or no man, the songstress looked fierce walking the Oscars red carpet alone proving that she’s just fine on her own.

Good thing she has friends like Bradley to help her through!
