Miley Cyrus is probably the only person who has ever done construction in the nude.
In her new video for “Wrecking Ball,” directed by photographer Terry Richardson, the 20-year-old shows a very vulnerable side of herself.
Just like the video for “We Can’t Stop,” which featured Miley in a few compromising positions, the second track off her upcoming album, BANGERZ, is bound to make headlines.
From her bare body sitting on a wrecking ball to licking a sledgehammer, Miley has found a way to up the shock value.
An up close shot of Miley crying kicks off the video. She sings lyrics like “Don't you ever say I just walked away, I will always want you.” She proceeds to walks around a vacant cement room with a sledgehammer, which she licks constantly throughout the almost four-minute clip. A wrecking ball breaks in and she hops atop it.
At first, she’s wearing underwear, but moments later, she’s in her birthday suit holding on to the thick chain and throwing her head back. Throughout the very revealing scenes, the camera cuts to Miley crying/hyperventilating. Things get a little violent when she hits herself and the walls.
It’s safe to say this track hits close to home for the former Disney star, who’s incredibly emotional as she belts out the tune. It leaves us wondering if the song is about her troubled romance with fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
