She may now be part of the royal family, but Meghan Markle is just like the rest of us, at least according to her old blog, The Tig. An old list of goals recently resurfaced online, proving the Duchess of Sussex isn’t that different from your common person.

In January 2016, about seven months before she met Prince Harry, Meghan shared her resolutions for the new year and her aspirations were simple, yet so relatable.

“Run a marathon. Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make my New Year’s resolution list nearly (AKA actually every) single year. The marathon hasn’t happened. The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks,” she wrote, describing her bad habits. To be honest, same! Based on how strict the royal family is, we can’t imagine a now pregnant Meghan cursing or biting her nails, which makes us wonder if she ever fulfilled those resolutions by now.

The Tig, which focused on Meghan’s passion for lifestyle topics — mainly travel, fashion, beauty, and food, has been inactive for some time now. The Duchess quit blogging around the time she started dating Harry and though she didn’t state her exact reason for her farewell, she did make sure to say goodbye to fans. If you visit the site now, her last blog entry can be seen.

“After close to three beautiful years on this adventure with you, it’s time to say goodbye to The Tig. What began as a passion project (my little engine that could) evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun, and frivolity. You’ve made my days brighter and filled this experience with so much joy. Keep finding those Tig moments of discovery, keep laughing and taking risks, and keep being ‘the change you wish to see in the world,” she shared.

Who would’ve thought she would be taking her own advice and making such a big impact on others? You go, girl!
